Hearing protectors for users

Noise-induced hearing loss is a huge problem for workers. It is one of the most common occupational diseases, and the second most common risk factor at workplaces. In 2022, one fifth of the population suffers from hearing loss. In 2050, the number can be 25%. If we do nothing hearing loss will increase. To do something, every workplace with noise present, should have trained management to make sure that hearing protection at work is handled correctly: feasible noise control measures are performed, remaining risk is removed with correct selection, use, and maintenance of the hearing protectors.

SGS webinar will give basic understanding of hearing loss due to noise, risk assessment of noise, how to read noise exposure measurement reports, how to select and use hearing protectors correctly, how to avoid problem with usage of other PPE at head area, and challenges in usage.
