SGS Fimko Ltd participates in CEWASTE project
SGS Fimko Ltd participates in a two-year project, that aims to set up a voluntary certification scheme for waste management covering collection, transport and treatment facilities. The two year project will start in November and is funded by European Commission.
This CEWASTE project “Voluntary certification scheme for waste treatment” aims at developing a scheme based on the existing normative landscape in the field of waste treatment for types of waste containing significant amounts of critical raw materials (“CRM”).
This project’s consortium consists of the World Resources Forum Association (CH) as the coordinator, Öko Institut (DE), Sofies (CH), United Nations University (DE/JP), WEEE Forum (BE), Austrian Standards International (AT), European Electronics Recyclers Association (NL), European Environmental Citizens’ Organization for Standardisation (BE) and SGS Fimko Ltd.
SGS Fimko is involved in the normative requirements analysis, the development of the scheme and the validation phases.
