The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Finland has renewed SGS Fimko’s status as Notified Body under the Machinery Directive. In its capacity as Notified Body, SGS Fimko acts as an impartial third party for verifying the conformity of machinery.
The appointment strengthens SGS Fimko’s present status as the leading Testing and Certification Company in the electrical, electronic and telecommunication field in Finland. SGS Fimko is Notified Body under Radio & Teleterminal Equipment (R&TTE), Low-Voltage (LVD), EMC, Machinery, Gas and Boiler Efficiency Directives and Accredited Testing Laboratory for EMC testing under the Automotive Directive. In addition to these SGS Fimko also provides services for the Energy using Products (EuP) Directive.
SGS Fimko tests products also in accordance with the requirements of other countries and issues (e.g. SGS FI, SGS GS and ENEC) certifications or obtains the certifications or approvals of other countries with the help of international CB/CB EMC certificates for safety and EMC.
