The European Union directive for Energy Using Products (EuP) aims to reduce the environmental impact of products, particularly on energy, and is valid for the entire life cycle of the product.
Energy efficiency, hazardous substances, recycling, water consumption and noise must be taken into account in all the states of the life cycle of the product. It must be verified that the product complies with all relevant technical requirements.
The EuP Directive is valid for products entering the market after the product-specific implementation dates. This means also that if the market access of a product is continued after the product-specific implementation date, the product must comply with the EuP requirements.
